Viral stunt in Noida: Man’s year-old stunt clip with kid on sports car roof leads to arrest | Noida News
NOIDA: A 25-year-old man was arrested for performing stunts with a child on the roof of a white sports car in Greater Noida West on Monday.The police said that the video was probably a year old and had been re-shared by someone on social media recently.
In the 13-second video, Gaur City 2 resident Ankit Pal could be seen driving a white DC Avanti with a child lying on the roof. Responding to the post, deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida Central) Shakti Mohan Awasthi said that Pal was apprehended and warned that such stunts in the future would lead to stricter actions.The SHO of Bisrakh police station Krishna Gopal Sharma said a case was registered under Section 117 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) of BNS. “Pal was arrested and has been granted bail from court,” he said.The traffic police are yet to issue a challan for the violation. A traffic police officer said that they are verifying the details, including the time and date of the stunt, to issue a challan. “Without verification, we can’t issue the challan as it can be challenged in court,” the officer said.People on social media strongly criticised the stunt and said that this could seriously harm the child. Himanshu Singh, an X user, said, “They are doing this for reels.” Anurag Rathore, another user, said, “This is horrifying and unacceptable. Using a child for viral content is criminal – strict punishment is necessary.”
