Google AI CEO Demis Hassabis has announced the partnership between Google DeepMind and Hyundai’s robotics company Boston Dynamics. In a post shared on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) Hassabis announced about the collaboration and also mentioned that the company will focus on integrating Google’s Gemini AI models into the robots of Boston Dynamics, inlacing the humanoid Atlas platform. The main aim of this association is to combine the advanced hardware of Boston Dynamics with Google’s AI to create robots which are capable of more adaptive, intelligent behaviour.Along with this, Hassabis also used the announcement to highlight the growing robotics ambitions. He revealed that Aaron Saunders, former CTO of Boston Dynamics, has joined Google DeepMind as VP of hardware engineering.
