LUCKNOW/AYODHYA: Errol Musk, father of billionaire Elon Musk, will visit Ram temple in Ayodhya on June 4, officials said.He is likely to be accorded the status of state guest by the Uttar Pradesh govt.Senior officials deputed in Ayodhya are coordinating with the temple trust to facilitate ‘darshan’ for Musk.Errol, who is on a five-day visit to India, will hold multiple business meetings with businessmen and entrepreneurs. Visiting Ram temple is part of his itinerary, and the gesture seems to be his attempt to foster closer ties with the country’s cultural heritage.On May 29, Elon Musk stepped down from the role of chief of DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency in the US govt) and formally announced the decision on social media platform X.Senior officials said the visit of Errol Musk to Ayodhya and Ram temple had been confirmed. “We would check if the protocol accorded to the state guest will be extended to Musk during the visit,” a senior govt officer in Ayodhya said.An escort vehicle with security personnel is deputed to take the state guest around the city during their visit. Senior officials, including a sub-divisional magistrate, deputy police superintendent, or other gazetted rank officer, are deputed as liaison officers to receive the guests at the airport and escort them to locations in the city.Meanwhile, the consecration ceremony of Ram Darbar, to be held on the first floor of the temple, will be underway during Musk’s visit.
