TIRUPATI: Mystery shrouds the death of a suspended professor of Sri Venkateswara University, whose body was found in a decomposed state inside a parked car near Alipiri in Tirupati on Friday.According to Tirupati West police, the deceased was identified as V Sardar Gugloth, who worked as a professor in the College of Commerce, Management, and Computer Science at Sri Venkateswara University. About three months ago, he was suspended on disciplinary grounds due to his addiction to alcohol and irregular attendance in classes.While the professor was reported missing for the last few days, his body was discovered inside a parked car near Alipiri on Friday. Police said locals noticed foul smell emanating from the parked car, looked inside, and found the decomposed body of the middle-aged man. They alerted the police, who visited the spot and inspected the vehicle.Gugloth’s wife, Meena Bhai, works as a school assistant at the govt zilla parishad high school in Chittoor. They they have two daughters aged 15 and 12 years.Tirupati West police shifted the body for postmortem and registered a case. While the exact cause of death is being investigated, police suspect that the professor might have died several days ago, as his body was found in a decomposed state.
