BHOPAL: A blatant violation of traffic norms unfolded on VIP Road in Bhopal, as seven young men were caught on video riding a single motorcycle in broad daylight, a clip that has gone viral on social media Thursday.The footage shows the riders, none wearing helmets, crammed onto the bike as it zips through the heavy traffic on VIP Road, a major artery connecting key commercial and residential areas. They can be seen laughing and gesturing toward the camera.
The video, shared late afternoon, quickly drew widespread condemnation, with netizens calling the scene “terrifying” and criticizing the risky swerves past vehicles and pedestrians. Comments poured in: “This is a recipe for disaster” and “Where are the cops when we need them?” DCP (Traffic) Basant Kaul said officers had launched a full investigation, were reviewing CCTV footage to trace the motorcycle’s registration and identify the riders.
