28% of posts in NIA vacant: MHA in LS | India News

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had 541 vacancies, which is 28% of its total 1,901 posts, as of June 30, 2025, junior home minister Nityanand Rai told the Lok Sabha in reply to a question on Tuesday. The data shows that 77 positions of inspector, 93 posts of sub-inspector and 54 positions of assistant sub inspector were lying vacant in NIA. Also, there are vacancies for 12 posts of SP, 11 posts of ASP and 20 posts of DSP.
